As part of this recent project BCA were appointed by the owner as consultants for the air-conditioning and ventilation services. This state-of-the-art super yacht had a chiller plant containing 3 X 210 kW Bitzer screw compressors providing chilled water to eight air handling plant rooms. As the air-conditioning equipment was purpose built in Miami and the system integrators were based in Seattle. The refit at the HDW Nobiskrug shipyard on the Kiel Canal in Germany was followed by sea trials in the Caribbean.
